The future of Electric Vehicles

By the rate of the rise of fossil fuel costs and the rate of air pollution in big cities, the whole world is slowly shifting its dynamic towards electric vehicles and you might be wondering as to how the switch from diesel to electric can be made possible. You can get a 2-Wheeler Electric Scooter for as cheap as 30 thousand rupees but the one issue which you might be facing is that they are slower than fossil fuels, but you can go for good brands like Komaki who have probably the best electric motorcycle scooter around.

Apart from the recent technological advancements, there have been electric vehicles with a good charge. but they are found to be lacking in range and research is going on to increase their kilometres travelled in one full charge. Despite the shortcomings, electric vehicles hold many advantages apart from just reduced pollution to the air to no fuel costs like almost zero noise pollution, a high torque output which can eliminate the need of a gearbox and hence increase the efficiency of the power transfer.

People have not been able to switch over to electric vehicles for mostly 2 reasons which are:

No Public charging station for Electric vehicles

       Long battery charging time.

Mostly due to these 2 problems, people choose fossil fuel vehicles over the electric ones. If you are living in a metro city with a daily travel distance of about 50km on an average, then you should go for an electric vehicle and you can charge it overnight in the garage.

There is no doubt that the 2-wheeler electric scooter industry is shaping up well and the rate of adaption is increasing but it also has a limit without adequate technology and infrastructure. Before they start to ban fossil, fuels and shift to an all-electric fuel car, they need to provide the proper facilities to be able to cope up with so many electric vehicles on the street and proper charging stations for all. Research is also going on for developing better and more efficient car batteries which can run for a longer time than the rest and make electric vehicles a possibility everywhere.

The current generation of Electric vehicles are a bit on the expensive side along with long charging hours and the challenge to make the batteries as energy-dense as possible to deliver a longer range with them and the best electric motorcycle scooter nowadays has a range of about 100 kilometres in one full charge. A naive solution might be to think that using a bigger battery can solve the dilemma, but it will also increase the weight of the vehicle and that will mean more energy consumed during a journey and hence is not a feasible option.

Electric vehicles are the inevitable future and the government banning all fossil fuels eventually will only lead to the rise of the electric vehicle industry and this will help them to invest into their research section to make better and more cost-efficient electric vehicles for all.
